Read it later

One of the nifty things I found in FireFox is this add on:  Read it Later

This thing is just great. It allows me to postpone reading to another time without having to add it to my bookmarks.  :)  I can just go back to it anytime unless I mark it as read then it will no longer appear in my list.

As a plus, if you get an account, you can access your reading list from different computers as long as it has the Read it Later add-on in the browser.  I love this especially there are certain types of sites that are blocked at the office, like video streaming. So when i stumble upon any blocked site I just add it to my read it later list and I open them when I'm out of the office. :)

Aside from FireFox, it also works for other browsers like Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari.  They even have this available for iPhone and blackberry (not that i own either of those. :p)  If you are the type who's stuck in a place with restricted net access for the better part of the day, this is one great add-on to your browser.

The Story of Bottled Water

For me, there are two simple ways to be eco-friendly in our daily lives: refuse plastic (bottles and bags) and bringing your own reusable water container and ecobags.

Usually, when my husband and I go grocery shopping we accumulate minimum of twenty plastic bags in assorted sizes (think of the little plastic bags they put butter in, and another one for soaps, then the ones for meats and poultry - it all adds up!).  Since 2007, we've made it a habit to bring ecobags (minimum of three, maximum of ten) with us wherever we go, and I feel that we've at least reduced the amount of plastic in landfills even by a very very small percent.

If we can, we also avoid buying drinks in plastic bottles.  I hope you can do the same.

Incidentally, my husband found this interesting short film.  I hope it helps in lessening our bottled water and plastic consumption.

First Push

With blogs, the first entry is usually the hardest to write.

I initially thought of ending it there and then just move on to the next entry. But I thought the better of it (in case my sister tells me it just won't do).

This blog is dedicated to all the girls and their girlfriends (and maybe their boyfriends :P), to sisters, to mothers and daughters and to every woman who always wish for that moment when she can just put her feet up, without a care in the world and she can truly enjoy her me-time.

We are just like you. So we will share with you our quiet and not so quiet times, here in our comfort zone.
